Shaykh Junaid Kharsany was born in Durban, South Africa in 1975. After completing his basic Islamic education in his hometown, he enrolled at the famous Madrasa Arabia Islamiyya Azaadville in Johannesburg, South Africa. He graduated in 1996 with Ijaza in Hadeeth and Tafseer.

He began his teaching career at Jamia Islahul Muslimeen in Sherwood, South Africa. The Shaykh has taught Arabic Lughah, tafseer and the renown text in Ahadeeth the "Mishkatul Masabih". Presently, he serves as director of Musjid Jamatul Islam in Inglewood, CA and has established a Quraanic seminary named "Riyadhul Uloom" in Torrance, CA. He regularly delivers discourses at events across the country.
